Biography

I am Married and have two grown children and four grandchildren and two great grandchildern. We have one fat cat and two long haired dachshunds.
My careers have been in Teaching and Nursing.
I am a free lance designer and instructor specializing in the techniques of Fair Isle. My goal in teaching is to make sure every student feels happy with their success thus motivating them to continue learning. I have an exclusive book, “I Can’t Believe I’m Fair Isle Knitting” published by Leisure Arts in 2012. My designs are published in three books from Sterling Publications, ("Heirloom Afghans to Knit and Crochet" and "100 Hats to knit and Crochet", "100 knitting Projects as well as House Of White Birches") "Easy Afghans for Knitters".
Creative Knitting, Simply Shetland , Plymouth Yarn ("Easy Afghans for Knitters"), Vogue Knitting Fall 2010, and Designer Knitting Fall 2010. I love teaching and making someone smile. Other things that bring me joy are family, friends, sunshine, nature, a bird singing, and the natural beauty you find in life.

Interests

I am a free lance designer and have designs published in Sterling publications, Creative Knitting, Plymouth Yarns, Simply Shetland, and Vogue Knitting. In January 2012 book I have an exclusive book called: "I Can't Believe I'm Fair Isle Knitting" published by Leisure Arts. My likes are music, knitting, gardening, dancing, teaching, baking, nature, granchildren, and family. I have a BA in art education from the University of Washington and love the fiber arts. I currently design and teach knitting workshops in fair isle techniques.
