This sweater is one I knitted for my grandson. It is a pattern called "Killeany". from the book called, "Aran Knitting" by Alice Starmore. I used the Knitpicks Wool of the Andes
- 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
- Weight:
- Worsted Weight
- Gauge:
- 4.5 - 5 sts = 1" on #7-8 needles
- Amount:
- 110 yards/50 gram ball (14 sks)
I knitted him the largest size (7-8) He is eight years old.

Just marvelous. Look at the smile on that young man's face. Hope he wears it for many years to come.

I love that sweater and knitted it for my son when he was about your grandson's age - he is now a college freshman and Killeany looks as good today as it did when knitted ... just a little small :D I used the original AS Bainin.
