"The rest of the WEEK" and "Romantic Knits by Annie Modesitt"

Well, I am pleased to announce the rest of the week is going well. I got to work in my garden yesterday. I plan on getting back out there again tomorrow.  Working out in my garden is very calming to me.

Sunday is our local knitting group meet-up. I am looking forward to this.

Yesterday the Postal Service brought my new Romantic Knits by Annie Modesitt. I originally looked at ordering the book to support Annie as her husband Gerry is very ill and going through Chemo, but I am pleased to say I am love the book and have picked out several projects to make.

You should also check out her "Red carpet Convertible" dress. She had designed the dress for a friend to wear to the Emmy's. It is so beautiful and the donations go for a fund to help out with the extra expenses for Gerry.

"The Complete Book of Traditional Knitting" By Rae Compton

Just look what Mr. Postman brought to me yesterday from the UK. I have been waiting about 7 weeks, but it was worth the wait. It is a wonderful, comprehensive book covering Lace, Fair Isle, and Aran including history and some patterns. Copyright 1983. You can still find a copy, for a decent price, if you are patient and persistent. I found mine on ebay.
